Introduction

Publications or manuscripts concerning the Chihuahuan Desert are being made available as pdf (portable document format) files. These viewable documents preserve much of the original formatting and are searchable; they also can be printed without the limitations imposed by web-page formatting. Currently, these files are divided into two groups: A series of informal, non-refereed electronic publications of the Centennial Museum and publications of the Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute presented in cooperation with that institution.

Software capable of reading pdf files is available as a free download: Adobe Reader.
