• Scientific Name: Commicarpus scandens (comb-ih-CAR-pus SCAN-dens)
• Family: Nyctaginaceae (Four O'clock Family)
• Geographic Range: Dry, rocky ground from southeastern Arizona, southern New Mexico, Big Bend region, and southern Texas, through Mexico to South America.
• Description: Herbaceous to somewhat woody vine-like plant clambering over shrubs and boulders with bright green leaves and spreading clusters of small, pale yellowish green, tubular flowers followed by small warty, club-like fruits.
