- Geographic Range: Mexico: from Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, through Oaxaca south to Central America.
- Plant Form: Perennial vine up to 30 ft or more.
- Remarks: Vigorous, clamoring, tendril-equipped vine that dies to the ground in winter with first frost; re-sprouts from tuber in late spring. Lush heart-shaped foliage with
profuse sprays of bright pink flowers from mid-summer to fall. Tropical appearance. Moderate water, full sun, hardy to 20° or less if tuber is mulched, tolerant of most soils.
