• Scientific Name: Allium drummondii (AL-lee-um drum-MON-dee-aye)
• Family: Alliaceae (Onion Family), earlier placed in Amaryllidaceae and Liliaceae
• Geographic Range: Nebraska south to eastern New Mexico; Terrell, Pecos. and Brewster counties in Texas; and into eastern Mexico.
• Description: Perennial bulb to 12", clustering, flowers erect, white to pink or reddish.
• Ethnobotany: Bulb is edible, mildly garlic flavored.
• Remarks: Endemic.
