• Scientific Name: Allium coryi (AL-lee-um KOR-ee-eye)
• Family: Alliaceae (Onion Family) (formerly Amaryllidaceae and Liliaceae)
• Geographic Range: Endemic to the Chihuahuan Desert Region in Trans-Pecos Texas (Brewster, Jeff Davis, and Presidio counties).
• Description: Perennial bulb to 12", clustering, with distinctive bright yellow flowers.
• Ethnobotany: Bulb is edible, mildly garlic flavored.
• Remarks: Endemic.
