Geographic Range: Sonoran Desert on rocky hillsides into grasslands and oak woodlands in southeastern Arizona, southwestern New Mexico and Sonora and northwestern Chihuahua,
Mexico.

Remarks: Bluish-green leaves with spines on the margins, forms rosette 3 ft high and 4 ft wide, greenish-yellow flowers on candelabra stalk to 15 ft; usually doesn't form
offsets; ranges from 3,000 to 6,000 ft elevations; cold hardy to 15° F.
