- Geographic Range: Southeastern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico; eastern
Sonora and western Chihuahua in and along the margins of the northern portion of the Sierra Madre
Occidental in Mexico.
- Description: Medium sized (to 10'), upright, low shrub to rarely branching
arborescent (tree-like) plant with broad bluish-green leaves; multiple sharp pointed, blade-like
leaves radiating from the crown of a thick semi-succulent trunk.
- Landscape Usage: Shade-tolerant accent plant. Seed-grown specimens are
commercially available.
- Notes: Formerly known as Yucca schottii.
