• Scientific Name: Monarda fistulosa (mon-NAH-duh fis-too-LOH-suh)
• Family: Lamiaceae (Mint Family)
• Geographic Range: Varieties found throughout the U.S. except California, Florida, Nevada, and Washington.
• Description: Herbaceous, 2-4 ft height.
• Landscape Usage:Prefers moist, well drained soils; blooms July to August; aromatic; attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.
