• Common Spanish Names:
• Scientific Name: Gaura lindheimeri (GAW-rah lind-HEIM-er-aye)
• Family: Onagraceae (Evening Primrose Family)
• Geographic Range: South-central and southeastern Texas, southern Louisiana.
• Plant Form: Herbaceous perennial, 3' to 4' tall and wide.
• Remarks: White to pinkish flowers. Blooms late spring to frost. Full sun to partial shade, moderate to high water usage, good drainage. Cut to ground in winter.
