- Family: Hydrangeaceae (Hydrangia Family)
- Geographic Range: Common in the higher mountains of the Trans-Pecos region, including the Davis, Chisos, and Guadalupe mountains; northward and westward into New Mexico,
Colorado, Utah, and Arizona; and southward into Chihuahua, Mexico.
- Plant Form: Deciduous, widely-branched shrub 3' to 6' tall and 4' wide.
- Remarks: White flowers in spring, sometimes later. Heat tolerant, full sun to partial shade, light to moderate water on well drained soils.
