Wright's Jimson Weed (Datura wrightii), Franklin Mountains, El Paso Co., TX. Flowers earlier in the morning are more trumpet-like than seen here. The prickly fruit has puportedly been passed off as porcupine eggs to naive city dwellers. Photographs by Gertrud Konings.
