- Geographic Range: Canyons and hills of southeastern Arizona, southwestern New Mexico, and the western Sierra Madre Occidental of adjacent Chihuahua and Sonora, Mexico.
- Plant Form: Semi-deciduous to evergreen sub-shrub, 3' H x 4' W.
- Remarks: Small, open, slender branched, evergreen sub-shrub with dark green compound leaves and 1" spikes of small pea-like violet flowers from fall to early spring. Low to
moderate water, full sun to light shade, good drainage, hardy to 10° F. Cut back in late spring to encourage dense growth. Commercial selection known as "Mountain Delight"™
