Before undertaking the exercises in this program, the authors recommend that the students essentially complete the material in the geology section of their science books. This should include a basic study of plate tectonics, the geological time scale, fossils, earthquakes, and volcanoes. Teachers may wish to print out a copy of this page as well as the post-test.
