Teacher Page
For Earth Science Pages
Before undertaking the exercises in this program, the authors recommend that the students essentially
complete the material in the geology section of their science books. This should include a basic study of
plate tectonics, the geological time scale, fossils, earthquakes, and volcanoes. Teachers may wish to
print out a copy of this page as well as the post-test. Then go to File Manager and change the name
of this file, teacher.htm, or disable this page in some way to prevent student accessibility.

This section is designed to fulfill TEKS Performance Description 14.c. for middle school science:
"The eighth-grade student infers and predicts how the evidence of geological formations affects
