The Succulent Garden is filled with agaves, yuccas, beargrass, and sotols—plants that add so much to the character of the Chihuahuan Desert. Many of these plants are those thought of when desert landscaping is mentioned. They are included here both because they are typical of the Chihuahuan Desert and because of the contrast with the more colorful desert-landscape plants elsewhere in the Gardens.
