The garden name is somewhat of a misnomer. Originally planned to demonstrate short-grass prairie plants, soil conditions proved less than ideal, suggesting a change in plans. Today, the garden supports a variety of plants, ranging from Arizona Cypress (a young individual in the lower right) to various agaves and showy annuals and perennials.
